Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) is becoming central to health research.  This Wolfson Research Workshop aims to provide an introduction to PPI in health research. Participants will be encouraged to explore some of the benefits and potential obstacles to embedding PPI into their research.  Three researchers (Dr Felicity Callard (Department of Geography and Centre for Medical Humanities), Dr Duika Burges Watson and Dr Sue Lewis (School of Medicine, Pharmacy and Health) will talk about how they have integrated PPI into their research and its effect.   Andrew Robinson (Patient and Public Involvement Officer, Research Design Service) will discuss practical strategies to begin using PPI andMargaret Johnson (a lay representative) will talk about her experiences of being involved in a number of cancer-focused studies.
