Calling curators, conservators, technicians in medical museums, APTs and DR managers or those in related medical fields.
Barts Pathology Museum
3rd Floor, Robin Brook Centre
W Smithfield, London EC1A 7BE
1:00 – 4:00 pm
Please come and join us at a workshop aimed at offering a space for response and discussion about foetal and neonatal specimens from UCL Teaching and Research Collections and Barts Pathology museum collections.
You will have the opportunity to look at photographs, drawings and real specimens and explore how we can find ways to engage with them through artistic encounters.
We hope to understand why these specimens are often under used and misunderstood at present and open up discussion about how can we inform future use and display of the collections. The session will end with a drink and chance to chat further on this fascinating subject.
Workshops are free and light refreshment is provided
Other workshops will be run throughout the year. They are all the same but aimed at different groups, though of course all those interested are welcome to participate.
Please look at the details on the website to see which group seems the most suitable and let me know so your name is added to the right list.
Please RSVP to book a place. Email l.lyons@qmul.ac.uk
Please note spaces are limited.
