NYAcademyThe New York Academy of Medicine Library is pleased to announce its schedule of 2016 programming in medicine, history, and the humanities, sponsored by its Center for the History of Medicine and Public Health.

This year’s special themed series is “Changemakers: Activism and Advocacy for Health,” showcasing the role of activism in creating change in medicine and health.

We also invite you to join us for free public talks on topics from pandemics to genetics, our popular “After Hours” series with Atlas Obscura featuring highlights of our rare book collections, and our annual Friends of the Rare Book Room lecture. Additional programming, including interactive workshops and reading groups, will be announced throughout the year.

The Library’s public programming is made possible by the generosity of our donors. If you have attended our cultural programming in the past, you know it is a special, one-of-a-kind experience.
